Getting Around in Blackpool

Getting around the town is easy since there are many buses and trains that provide affordable transport. Bus operators sell tickets to commuters daily, but if you want to rent a car, you can do so as well for a higher cost. Taxis may not be as affordable, but they may prove to be useful when there are no better options to take. To explore Lancashire, you also have the option of riding a train. For your convenience, buy a ticket for a day's unlimited travel. Try the town's tramway as well. Opened in 1885, these antique transports stretch for over 18 miles and can be a fun way to explore town.

Main Attractions in Blackpool

The Blackpool Tower, the Victorian counterpart of the Eiffel Tower, is one of the town's most famous tourist destinations. The view from the top is mesmerizing, but it can get too crowded during peak seasons. There are seven levels to explore including a bug zone, an aquarium, and a circus. There are also three awesome piers to visit, namely the North Pier, the Central Pier and the South Pier, thus making the town one of UK's best seaside resorts. If you are with your kids, don't forget to visit the Pleasure Beach theme park, UK's biggest amusement park.

Shopping, Dining, and Nightlife in Blackpool

Bond Street and Waterloo Road is teaming with souvenir shops, gift shops and clothing shops. Don't forget to keep some cash for the shops at the town centre and the Bonney Street market though. If you get hungry, try our local chippy on Harrowside its lovely. When you arrive ask Keith for the best restaurants available just mention the style of food you are looking for and He will direct you to the best place, and book your table and sort a taxi for you.
